The HDfury Diva EDID section: five EDID modes, download and upload
EDID is how a source decides what to send. The Diva sits between the two, so it decides what each source is told, and this section is where you choose that.
Every source reads an EDID from whatever it is plugged into and then sends the best signal that EDID says is supported. When a matrix, an AVR and two displays with different capabilities are all in the chain, the honest answer is usually the lowest common denominator, and you lose picture or sound quality for no good reason. The five EDID modes below let you decide what each source sees instead.
The five EDID modes
- COPY TX0 SINK
- Use the EDID from the device connected at the TX0 output. The simplest choice when one display matters and the other is secondary.
- COPY TX1 SINK
- Use the EDID from the device connected at the TX1 output.
- FIXED EDID
- Use a 4K60 4:2:0 8-bit 300MHz 2-channel audio EDID. A deliberately modest, safe description that almost anything can handle.
- CUSTOM
- Define an individual EDID for each input, from a list of 10 custom and 90 predefined EDID tables. Use this when your sources genuinely differ: a games console and a disc player do not need to be told the same story.
- AUTOMIX
- Use a dynamic EDID created from a choice of five EDID algorithms and fourteen EDID flags. The Diva mixes the real capabilities of the connected sinks and you override the parts you want forced.

Moving EDID tables in and out
- DOWNLOAD ACTIVE EDID TABLES
- Download any EDID from any of the inputs or outputs. Use it to capture the EDID of a display you own, to keep a copy before you change anything, or to send a file to support when something misbehaves.
- UPLOAD EDID TABLES
- Select an EDID file and a custom EDID table number, then click SEND EDID to upload it. This is how a downloaded or hand-built EDID gets into one of the ten custom banks so it can be assigned to an input.
- REFRESH
- Reloads the current page.
A sensible way to work
- Download the active EDID from the sink at TX0 so that you have the original saved.
- Decide whether you want one story told to every source, which points to Copy or Fixed, or a different story per source, which points to Custom.
- If two sinks with different capabilities are connected at once, start with Automix, then force only the flags you actually need.
- Upload any EDID file you have prepared into one of the custom banks, then assign that bank to the input that needs it.
- Click REFRESH and check the EDID rows in the INFO section to confirm the sources are now seeing what you intended.
