Connecting cables to your HDfury Diva
Three cables get you a picture: power, one source into any HDMI input, and your display on an output. Everything else is optional and can be added later.

The order to work in
- Connect the power connector from the supplied power supply. It takes 110-240V at 1.2A in and delivers 12V 1A out to the unit.
- Connect a source to any HDMI input with an HDMI cable. All four inputs are equal, so there is no preferred one to start with.
- Connect your display or projector to an output. Anything modern goes on TX0; see the rule below for older equipment.
- Connect any other HDMI, sound, IR or RS232 cable that you need. All of these are optional and none of them are required to get a picture.
Two rules that decide where a cable goes
The first rule is about old gear. HDMI and HDCP 1.x devices must be connected to the 1080p SDR downscale TX1 output. That output exists precisely for equipment that predates HDCP 2.2 and 4K: Diva tone maps and downscales the channel to 1080p SDR and encrypts it to the level that sink expects, so a first generation display or an older AVR gets a signal it can actually lock onto instead of a black screen or an HDCP error.
The second rule is about bandwidth. Any HDMI cable in the chain must support 18Gbps if an 18Gbps source or sink is connected to it. That applies to the inputs and to TX0. The exception is TX1 and the audio output, which never carry more than 1080p or a self-generated 720p/1080p stream, so an ordinary high speed cable is fine on those two.
Once it is powered
The OLED lights up as soon as the power supply is applied, shows the Diva logo and then the default info page. If the LAN control RJ45 is connected to your router or switch, the IP address appears there, which is how you reach the embedded webserver from a browser. If the OLED stays dark, suspect the power supply first, then check whether the OLED timer has expired and press any button to wake it.
With an active input connected, the info page names the input, completes the handshake and reports the signal it found. The TX0 line shows the EDID name of your display, its maximum supported resolution, and an arrow indicating whether the current signal is being upscaled, downscaled or passed through untouched. That arrow is the quickest way to confirm your cabling and scaling rules are doing what you intended.
