What is in the box with your HDfury Diva
Unpack everything before you start cabling. Most of the small accessories plug into the jack sockets on the back of the unit, and it saves time to know which is which.
The retail box holds the Diva central unit and the cables that connect it to the rest of your world. Nothing here is optional in the sense of being missing: if you only want video and audio through HDMI, the unit and its power supply are enough, and the jack cables sit in the drawer until you need IR, serial control or the lag tester.
Supplied in the retail box
- Diva central unit
- The matrix itself, with four HDMI inputs, TX0, TX1, the dedicated HDMI audio output, the OLED display and the four side buttons.
- Power supply
- A mains adapter for your region, supplied in EU, UK, US or NZ-AU form. Use this one rather than a substitute, since an underpowered supply shows up as an OLED that will not stay lit.
- IR RX sensor cable, 9ft
- An infrared receiver on a lead, so you can hide the Diva in a rack and still point a remote at something. It plugs into the IR RX jack.
- Input lag tester cable, 9ft
- The light sensor you stick to the screen to measure display input lag. It shares the IR sensor input on the back.
- DB9 to RS232 jack cable, 1ft
- Connects the Diva RS232 jack to a standard nine-pin serial port on a control system or a display.
- USB to RS232 jack cable
- The same serial link for a computer with no DB9 port, straight into a USB socket on a Mac, Windows or Linux machine.
- Jack optical cable, 4.5ft
- Breaks the 3.5mm combo audio jack out to a standard TOSLINK optical input, for S/PDIF up to 5.1 into an older AVR or soundbar.
The ambient light strip kit
The video responsive LED strip is a separate option, not part of the retail box. Its kit contains the LED strip itself, a 5V 4A power adapter, a USB extension and a Y cable that ties the power adapter, the Diva LED control jack and the strip together. It comes in six lengths to suit displays from 21 to 85 inch, so order the one that matches the panel you are going to stick it to.
