The HDfury Diva OSD section: on-screen display, mask and custom text
The OSD puts the same signal information the OLED carries onto the picture itself, so you can read what is arriving and what is leaving from the sofa rather than from the rack.
Everything on this page is optional. The OSD is there when you are diagnosing a handshake, checking that a source really is sending what you think it is, or confirming that HDR metadata survived the trip. Once you are happy, you can fade it away or switch it off entirely and the picture is untouched.
Turning it on and placing it
- OSD SETUP
- Enables or disables the OSD feature of the Diva. Nothing else on this page has any effect until it is enabled.
- OSD FADE
- The timer in seconds before the OSD fades out. Set it to 0 and the OSD never fades, which is what you want while you are working on a problem.
- OSD LOCATION X, Y
- The X and Y position of the readout, expressed for a 1080p stream.
- OSD COLOR FRONT, BACK, LEVEL
- Text colour on a scale of 0 to 31, background colour on the same 0 to 31 scale, and background transparency from 0 to 7.
Choosing what it reports
OSD INFO is a set of checkboxes: select or unselect the information that must appear on screen. Turning fields off is worth doing, because a full readout takes a lot of the frame and you rarely need all of it at once.

The OSD mask
The mask is a separate rectangle you define on the picture and shade to a chosen level. It is set by coordinates rather than by dragging, and like the OSD itself those coordinates are given at 1080p and doubled when the stream is 4K.
- OSD MASK SETUP
- Enables or disables the use of the OSD mask.
- MASK LOCATION x0, y0, x1, y1
- The coordinates of the top left and the bottom right corner of the rectangle, at 1080p.
- OSD MASK LEVEL
- How transparent the mask is, on a scale of 1 to 7.
- OSD GRAYSCALE
- The level of grey used for the mask, from 0 to 15.
Custom text
The Diva can also print a line of your own on screen, which is useful for labelling a unit in a multi-room install or a demo rig.
- OSD TEXT ENABLE
- Enables or disables the custom text. Once activated, whatever you have typed in the text field is displayed on screen.
- NEVER FADE
- Keeps the custom text on screen after the OSD information has faded away. Enable it if the label should stay put.
- OSD TEXT X, Y
- The X and Y position of the custom text at 1080p, again multiplied by two on a 4K stream.
