The HDfury Diva OLED menu: every setting without a browser
The OLED menu is the subset of Diva settings you can reach with nothing but the four buttons on the unit. It covers the ones you are most likely to need in a hurry, including the DHCP switch that gets you back onto the network.
Getting around
- Press MENU once to enter the Diva OLED menu.
- Press UP to navigate upward through the settings and DOWN to navigate downward.
- Press MENU again on the setting you want to toggle through its available choices.
- Press EXIT to leave, or let the menu sit idle for a while and it will exit automatically.
The settings
- Autoswitch
- ON or OFF. With it on, the unit switches automatically to an active signal, which is what you want in most single-viewer setups and what you turn off when you insist on choosing inputs yourself.
- Autoswitch Priority
- ON or OFF. Governs whether a newly detected active input takes over immediately.
- EDID Mode
- Custom, Copy TX1, Copy TX0, Automix or Fixed. This is the single most consequential setting in the menu, because it decides what your sources are told they may send. The EDID section covers what each mode does.
- EDID Table
- EDID 0, EDID 1, EDID 2 or EDID 3. Selects which of the tables is in use. The full list of 100 tables is on the EDID tables page.
- EDID Algo
- 4-Max All, 0-Normal, 1-Max Audio, Prio TX0 or Prio TX1. The mixing algorithm Automix uses when it builds an EDID out of the capabilities of your connected sinks.
- Scale Mode
- None, Auto or Custom. The same three choices offered in the SCALER section of the webserver, where the custom parameters themselves are defined.
- Mute TX0 Audio
- ON or OFF. Silences the audio going out of the TX0 output, which is useful when your AVR is fed from the dedicated HDMI audio output and you do not want the display speaking as well.
- Mute TX1 Audio
- ON or OFF. The same, for the TX1 output.
- HDCP
- AUTO or 1.4. Leave it on AUTO unless a sink specifically needs to be handed HDCP 1.4.
- CEC
- ON or OFF.
- CEC LA
- 0-Video [0x0E] or 1-Audio [0x05]. The CEC logical address the Diva announces itself under.
- ARC HBR
- ON or OFF.
- Baud Rate
- 19200, 57600, 115200 or 9600, for the RS232 connection. 19200 is the default; match it to whatever is on the other end of the cable.
- DHCP
- ON or OFF. Turn it on to have the Diva fetch an address automatically, which is how it leaves the factory.
- Analog Volume
- 0 by default, adjustable from -30 to +10, for the analog stereo output on the jack socket.
- Analog Bass
- 0 by default, adjustable from -10 to +10.
- Analog Treble
- 0 by default, adjustable from -10 to +10.
The one setting that rescues you
DHCP earns its place here for one reason. If you have set a static IP address that turns out to be wrong, the unit disappears from the network and the webserver becomes unreachable, which means you cannot use the webserver to correct the static IP. Setting DHCP to ON from this menu puts the Diva back on a dynamically assigned address, exactly as it behaves by default, and the OLED then shows you the new address so you can get back into the webserver.
