The four HDfury Diva buttons and their two functions each
The Diva has four push buttons on the side of the unit, and each one does two different jobs depending on whether you are in the OLED menu or not.
Outside the menu the buttons switch inputs and change what the OLED shows. Inside the menu the same four buttons become a navigation pad. Any of them will also wake the unit from sleep or fade mode, so the first press after the display has gone dark only brings the OLED back; it does not change anything.
Menu and Toggle
- MENU
- Wakes the unit from sleep or fade mode, and enters the Diva OLED menu. Press it once to get in.
- TOGG
- Once you are inside the OLED menu, the same button becomes Toggle: it changes and cycles the value of whichever setting you are standing on.
Info and Exit
- INFO
- Wakes the unit from sleep or fade mode, and cycles the OLED info pages: INFO, then LAN INFO, then HDR INFO, and onward. LAN INFO is where you find the hostname and the mDNS address for reaching the webserver.
- EXIT
- Once you are inside the OLED menu, this button leaves it. You do not have to use it: leave the menu idle for a while and it exits on its own.
Out1 and Up
- OUT1
- Wakes the unit from sleep or fade mode, and sets and switches the active or inactive inputs for the TX1 output.
- UP
- Once you are inside the OLED menu, this button navigates upward through the list of settings.
Out0 and Down
- OUT0
- Wakes the unit from sleep or fade mode, and sets and switches the active or inactive inputs for the TX0 HDMI output.
- DOWN
- Once you are inside the OLED menu, this button navigates downward through the list of settings.
Switching inputs with the buttons
OUT0 and OUT1 are how you drive the matrix from the front of the rack. Because the two outputs have their own button, you can send input 1 to your projector on TX0 and input 3 to the second display on TX1 without touching a browser. The OLED and the on-screen display will report information for up to two active inputs while the unit is in its default matrix mode.
Everything the buttons do, something else can do too
The push buttons are only one of the control routes into the Diva. The same settings can be changed with IR codes, over IP, over RS232 from a Mac, Windows or Linux machine, or from the embedded webserver, which works from a computer, from an Android or iOS phone or tablet, and from any other device with a web browser. Nothing is exclusive to the buttons, so if the unit lives behind a cupboard door you lose no functionality by driving it entirely from the webserver.
