New routines for Older Pioneer AVR at Audio out. (Based on Sharc/thenaudio.com)
CEC changes: on this firmware and forward we don't clear the physical addressing anymore with hotplug/rsense off in the TX0 port previously the EDID would get cleared to zero on rsense low but since now some sink erroneously keep rsense high while hotplug low so this is taken into account it will also keep the CEC network more stable when devices enter standby and back up.
Added Webserver > Config > Reboot timer (if issue at startup after overnight idle or when using the Auto sense option for autoswitching, you can set a reboot timer)
OSD screen output when NO INPUT routed is removed from this update, this is a test update to verify if this feature is indeed behind a few recents issues reported by users.
Added Led Global Delay option in webserver > tools > Led light driver control. Allow to compensate display input lag by setting a delay for led reaction, range is from 0 to 160ms.
Added WTW/BTB support for Ambient light as seen on ATV4K (might be found on other streaming device and/or platform)
Added Black Bar detection on/off (can be turned off if content produce any flickering in ledstrip)
Added IP/RS232 command: set ledbbdet on/off (allow to turn on/off black bar detection)
Added IP/RS232 command: set leddelay xxx (allow to add delay in ledstrip processing to match display input lag, xxx is a value between 0 and 160 ms)
RS232 Macro workflow updated as per Manni (AVSforum power user) suggestion. Please visit the following link for more details: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/24-digital-hi-end-projectors-3-000-usd-msrp/3038288-official-jvc-rs3000-nx9-jvc-rs2000-nx7-n7-jvc-rs1000-nx5-n5-owners-thread-892.html#post59593690
Added new IP commands "jvcmacroalwayshex on/off", "jvcmacroalwayshexorder before/after" and "jvcmacroalwayshexdelay 1/3/5/7/10/15/20/25"
No input OSD updated (should fix issue reported in some user setup)
Added the EARC LPCM 5.1/7.1 support (as per LG C9 latest firmware update)
Added: No ambient light for Normal DV, Diva will turn off ambient light while playing normal DV.
Updated MUTE AUDIO feature (webserver > config section), some users reported mute audio would still let some audio going thru after a resync, now the lines are hard muted.
Added DCI 2K/4K and DCI 2K > DCI 4K upscale for TX0 and DCI 4K > FHD 1080p downscale for TX1. This was mainly a studio requested feature.
Added new OSD output in case of wrong routing or empty input routed. TX Output will now always show information about the current state via OSD on a self generated video stream. As a result any output will always produce a valid signal as long as sink device is supported.
Added 3 new Autoswitching options: OFF (default) - Require Manual input selection ON POWER - +5V detection similar to Vertex/Integral2 or any autoswitcher device out there. ON SENSE - Detection is based on active video. This mode is now labeled as advanced because it might affect some sources. We believe it was the culprit behind any "blackscreen at startup issue". The framework is based on enabling/disabling the rsense and the TMDS core clocking of inputs when an input port is not selected both of which are needed for detecting an active source. The only way to make detection work on an unselected input is to have these forced on at all times. Unfortunately it means the rsense of inputs never toggle and this can create problems for some sources when they wakeup. We propose to never use this autoswitch mechanism and always only prefer the +5 style coupled with CEC switching or manual input selection especially if you ever met any "blackscreen at startup issue" and want to avoid it.
Network routines update for routers compatibility improvements.
Low level routines updated.
Added new option under webserver>CEC page which when enabled makes Diva scan CEC commands and when there are routing change commands (like on ATV menu-button) it will issue a command to turn on TV
Added static TV on/off commands via IP and webserver buttons. The RS232/IP command is "set ceccmd poweron" or "set ceccmd poweroff"
Added an arbitrary CEC command issue via RS232/IP. The RS232/IP command is "set ceccmd aa:bb.."
Added UHD Alliance Filmmaker Mode trigger from webserver
Added DV CUSTOM STRING flag. When CUSTOM STRING is enabled, the DV string is used as defined in the "HDR/DV" page of the webserver. This allows for full customization of the DV capabilities shown to the source device. This is for advanced users only.
Added 3 IR codes set selectable from webserver, default is same as previous FW version and available from Logitech Harmony (to avoid IR conflict as seen with face recognition mobile device)
Changed automix flags. Removed BT2020/3D/YCbCr/DVremove/DVLimit flags. All caps will be mixed still if present in the sink EDID
Removed automix algo, default is max caps at all times
Modified HDR10+ to force a separate HDR10+ string. Default is now OFF.
Modified audio flag priority so that if TX0 is selected but TV not active then TX1 is used. If TX1 is selected but not turned on then TX0 is used. If AUDIO OUT is selected but not connected, then TX0 is used if active and finally TX1 is used if TX0 is also off.
FULL audio flag removes DSD to save space. DSD is still mixed using TX0/TX1/AUDIO OUT normally if present
Added Rsense, HPD and TMDS info in config export for each output connector.
Added RX 5V detection for each input in config export
Added default EDID mode detection in config export
Added edidoverflow information in config export
Fixed some OSD values not stored correctly
Fixed a bug in osdmask x-coordinate
STM Profile 2 is now the default STM profle after update
IR routines updated - we found some interrupt issues, now fixed.
Added new config-page setting "sony android TV fix" (Setting is OFF by default, if you have Sony Android TV in your setup, you might want to turn it ON after update)
Fixed TX1 AVI VIC issues - some formats were incorrect.
Fixed "Default IF" button on webserver > HDR/IF section.
Updated Custom EDID4 for 1440p120 from X1.
Changed OLED reporting for 1440p.
Small changes in Webserver.
FPGA 0.12 now force LED to be darker in dark scene without any loss in velocity. You might try it and revert back to previous 0.11 based on your preference.
new TCP/IP supporting more requests, current connection must be terminated before a new one does anything, now using netconn connections instead of socket telnet.
Fixed a condition when input is 4K50 420 and downscaled to 1080p50, Wrong VIC code was presented at the output.
Custom HDR replacement routines updated.
DV mode reporting on OSD/OLED from Shield 2019 fixed.
Adds support for HDR10+ data blocks mixed with DV data blocks as seen on Panasonic TX-65GZ960E
Adds support for VENDOR SPECIFIC AUDIO data blocks
Adds CDS ediditing via RS232/IP via RS232 you will type: #diva set cdsstr x, where x is the string e.g. #diva cdsstr 01:01:1a:35:67:7e:01:57:06:01:15:07:50:0f:7f:07:3d:1e:c0:4d:02:00:5f:7e:01:83:4f:00:00:00 and via IP you leave out the #diva since IP is targeted already
Adds #diva get cdsstr commandfor printout of the cdsstring
Added CDS EARC string upload on CEC page (Feature mainly for studios), user is responsible for all values. It will be saved to Diva and used on subsequent powerups. Tested and confirmed working on Sony eARC TV (LG C9 not responding to any change currently, work in progress)
IP interrupts to the current TCP connection which when enabled send a ping to currently open TCP connection. (for IP control) When its on then a change in the stream parameters will issue an "int" message on the current active IP connection. Regarding the interrupt message on IP. It is issued after the new status is populated on various variables but before the OLED is drawn with these values. Depending on the IP query it might need a few msec settle delay after the message issuance.
DV recognition from TX1
ARC short audio descriptors updated (Help for DD+ from Sony TV via ARC)
TX1 EDID handling updated (will not display any EDID even default one if TX1 is unplugged).
Internal improvements.
That firmware won't flash (resync/hpd) TX1 when you disconnect/reconnect but only in CUSTOM EDID MODE, in AUTOMIX it will flash since EDID needs to be mixed and presented at source so HPD event needed. TX0 will always flash in custom or automix, because it's needed for CEC logical address.
Added basic copy sinks EDID flag for Matrix mode under AUTOMIX
Changed Automix EDID routine in matrix mode copies (using flags) the corresponding output EDID to the corresponding input
Added TX0 and TX1 +5V control commands (webserver/RS232/IR/IP)
Added hotplug to tx0 scaler no-upscale checkbox
Page 2 of OLED deep color reporting more refined.
Internal ARC/EARC improvements for Sony TV and cleaned the CEC page on webserver.
Added eARC manual force ON/AUTO/OFF (eARC or HDMI input)
Updated IR codes and RS232 commands with new eARC manual force ON/AUTO/OFF (diva_earcforceauto, diva_earcforceearc, diva_earcforcehdmi)
For eARC, it is recommended now to use CEC ID : Audio System w/ARC and have CEC enabled always. (it was mandatory for Sony eARC TV already, now it is also recommended for LG TV)
Added 4 new HDR->SDR tone mapping profiles, STM PROFILE 5-8. They are designed to hit in between the STM 2 and STM4 profiles in terms of luminance on the bottom and top range.
Added an arrow like this ->SDR when converting from HDR to SDR
Added first pass at the IMPORT CONFIG. It is a very tedious piece of code and likely has some oversights. Please test carefully. You can export and then change some values and import back. wait until reboot is done.
Added "NOT SUPPORTED" option for Ambient Light LED operation. When Diva TX1 does not accept the video mode the LEDs will follow the selected mode (ex 120Hz/1440p/etc..)
Added SIDE DIMMERs for Ambient Light LED operation. When mounted near the wall one can dim a side halfway to help intensity balance.
Changed ARC automation. Diva will support and follow more TV commands to switch between ARC audio and incoming hdmi audio. The FORCE settings still apply. ARC force AUTO: switches automatically (not supported by all TV), ARC: always ARC, HDMI: always HDMI. Reboot required and on first power up Diva will not know which one user wants to hear- HDMI or ARC if both are active. Therefore choose the proper input after powerup from TV..i.e. choose streaming source or HDMI input on TV.
HTPC mode per input, starting from this version you can decide which input get HTPC mode so all other input continue to work for HDCP handshake.
Added AUDIO OUT information on web info-page. Now it will say the audio format going out from it. In case ARC, it will say "from TX0 using ARC" or for EARC case it will be "from TX0 using EARC"
Added ARC/HDMI or AUTO force mode on CEC page: This controls the AUDIO OUT source in ARC mode and can help some people to keep the unit from automatically changing depending on TV. AUTO-setting is as currently, ARC keep ARC on always (relies on AUDIO being routed via TV). Make sure TV supports all back routed formats, otherwise audio is silent. HDMI-mode, will enable user to switch to the current HDMI input audio and never switch to ARC (even if ARC is actively streaming).
Added IR commands to enable matrix input selections via IR as well as the new arcforce settings above (auto/arc/hdmi). New IR codes list is attached.
Added SOURCE NAME decoding to Config Export as well as Audio force mode value, "arcforce": "auto", "earcst": "off", "arcst": "off", they show which settings are for arc/earc. eARC always precedes ARC. If eARC is active then ARC is no care.
